Spatial transcriptomics is a powerful tool for understanding the complexity of disease–host interactions. It allows researchers to map out gene expression profiles in a spatially–resolved manner. This technique can provide a more detailed understanding of the dynamic changes in gene expression that occur in response to disease and how these changes affect the host. By combining spatial transcriptomics with other techniques, such as single–cell sequencing, researchers can gain valuable insights into the molecular pathways and networks underlying disease–host interactions.
